Hi,
i have a strange Problem starting a game on win98se.
Win98se boots normal. When i try start a Game the startup takes forever. When i tab to task Manager i see the application dont react.
It happen on any game i want to start. When i wait 3 min sometimes the game starts . After that when i quit and start the game again it boots directly without issues..
I use a scsi2sd V6 on a Adaptec 2940. In dos 6.22 i have no problems. This happen only in windows.
Anyone have such problems before?
Not sure if this is hardware or software problem at all.

What's the rest of the hardware specs?
Have you installed motherboard drivers?

Not sure what the Adaptec drivers do but a quick search found these, maybe a later version

Does playing dos games from within windows work first time?

Do you have a IDE drive to test with.
My first guess would be that adapter or SD card is the culprit, but it is still a guess at this point
