Just working on a new K6-II (for now) build.

Had a weird issue with it - it's an AT PCChips board and I tried to use "suspend" from within Windows 98. The screen went black and the computer stopped responding so I switched it off and then on again - it refused to POST.

Tried reseating everything and clearing CMOS with the exact same result.

Eventually I pulled out a spare K6-II from my parts bin and tried that - it booted right up with no issues. I swap the original K6 back in again - no POST. New K6 - absolutely fine again reproducible every time.

Have I just run into a complete coincidence whereby the CPU died exactly as it went into suspend or is this a thing that can happen as it strikes me as extremely odd?
