i'm kinda new to the community ^^" using a regular 2,0 ghz pc
trying to play "wings of fury" with the dosbox emulator, the problem is
when i start the game in windows, it's just going waaaaay to fast, so i hoped dosbox would solve this problem , but when i start wings in dosbox, i see the intro & menu but when i'm about to start the mission, it kicks me back to dos, with a message thank you for playing or buying bla bla bla Oo"
i've tried messing with the configuration files and the memory fixes, but after doing that, the game won't start at all

So my question is, how can i get the game to work, or is there a simple solution to make windows play the game reeeeeeally slow Oo" i prefer a dosbox solution though ^^" it's fun
~thanks in advance~ ^_-

Did you re-install the game through DOSBox?

i've tried, but it keeps asking for disk b =/ which i don't have..

but the version i've got is already unpacked, it's one of those abandonware .zip-ies with the entire game, it runs in windows though =/

I have never used it myself, but I have heard of a program called moslow that can be used in Windows to slow down a game. VDMSound comes with a program called speedset. Maybe that will help?

I've tried the moslow, but it didn't work probably because it was a trial version or something =S
I've tried speedset , and it worked to a certain amount,.
i could slow it down to -45 but if i go higher than that, the game crashes or give somekind of an out of memory error

i've added the game, maybe you can play it 😄"
[and i removed it]

Do NOT upload games unless they're freeware.
Also it doesn't look like the original. If you post please be sure it behaves
the same on your original copy of the game.

It certainly does not. Who knows what those abandonware people messed up... 😀

Solution seems easy. Just run WOFC.EXE, WOFE.EXE or WOFT.EXE to run the game, depending you want CGA, EGA or TANDY. The original loader (DASHC.PES) doesn't work using DOSBox.

as far as i'm concerned it's the original game =/

It doesn't matter how far it's your concern that it's the original game.
Buy it or dig it up from your disks, and THEN report back.

I had a similar problem with abandoned places (no, not the website, the game)
The game wouldn't start, it just kept on jumping back to dos, then I discovered whoever had put the package together had gotten the files all in the wrong location, they were supposed to be in a sub directory called data
Maybe the latest cvs build would help
Some other things to try:
try slowing the emulation system down with ctrl f11
Make sure you have the right machine being emulated, IE: cga or vga.
IT's never a good idea to have your dosbox start up in CGA mode and then try to run a game meant for VGA
try changing the sound emulation IE sb16, sbpro2 sb1, sbpro1 etc
Hope this helps
