What I did was run the main exe eden.exe as admin and skipped the cutscenes by pressing either ESC or Enter

Since no one had made any replies, I will just say that Project Eden (2001) from Eidos Interactive works great on QEMU in full Direct3D glory. Can be a little slow ~20FPS on some GPUs, but most Intel and NVIDIA are OK, including iGPU/APU can do 60 FPS most of the time.

Game engines from Eidos Interactive seem to be highly compatible. Several others, such as Project IGI, Urban Chaos & Omikron The Nomad Soul, all work great and seem to use similar game engine or rendering style.
