I have downloaded the entire Intel website backup from 2019 and it is currently on my file server. The bios I need is likely in there, but I cannot find it as it is numbered incrementally and has 30000 folders. Does anyone have a good link to the p14 bios? (The latest if I remember correctly). Need to get larger hard drives to auto detect.

Linked to the intel site. However it gave me the file name so I can find it in the archive. Will replay if it works!

I found the correct bios and am in the Iflash utility, however it will not let me flash with this error "invalid reserved string in flash image header iflash" which is strange considering the bios string, 4a4ll0x0 is the same as the currently installed P02 version.

What's the full BIOS string your current version is showing - if its Intel (retail) it should be something like 4A4LL0X0.86A.0012.P02. The important part is the 86A...anything else means it's an OEM board / BIOS version - probably one of these

4A -Sony
5A - Micron PC
10A - Dell
11A - Packard Bell
15A - Gateway
21A - HP

Your choice then is to hunt down the latest OEM BIOS for your board (may not be as current as the latest Intel P14 version) or to force flash your board with the Intel version using any available BIOS recovery procedure (you'd lose any OEM specific features in doing so)

I know you have a thread on the lag issue in 'Sound'. On a more general note, maybe check the BIOS history for the board to see if any obvious issues pop out (plenty has changed between P02 & P14)

I will do that for sure. Switched boards out of frustration and to get a faster CPU though. I definitely want to play with it again because the on board sound is really clean and with the bios update it is actually fairly advanced.
