If it's not spam then it's still breaking the rules regarding no WTS threads. The email is probably a fake anyway
Should we have a more strict registration rules like that used at QuestStudios? A new applicant must write in person via email to the administrator(s) to register?
This will keep these nothing-better-to-do spammers out of this Vintage PC Temple?
These "impure ones" must be made to pass the initiation test - ask them to cross the Holy River - Let the Good Float Pass, Leave the spammers to be swept away and drown... 😁
Edit : It may not be the ultimate solution, but anything to make spammers a little bit more difficult would help to deter them.

Hehe, good post Malik! 😀 I don't know what the current registration page looks like. Perhaps it has a large text font warning message saying "all advertising messages will be deleted". If it does, then how about having this message displayed in various languages? It could be that non English speaking spammers are not understanding any warning message.

Frankly, I don't think it's very bad, I've seen worse though.
I don't know if making registering more difficult will be of any help, might only discourage new people from taking the final step to register.

Slightly OT: I just looked in my email junk folder, and apparently the Nigerian Government have just advised me that my compensation payment has been processed! 😀 Can you imagine my surprise?

Yes I can, I got my compensation from the Nigerian Government recetly, it was a poke with a sharp stick 😜
