Matrox MGA G450 Dual Head does not work on Lucky Star LS-486E (SIS 85C496-7). No video, card is PCI 2.1 as far as I know, but the mobo supports PCI 2.0.

Is it normal?

I don't know whether I've seen that card working on a SiS 496 yet, but I know a system based on the UM8881 with that card. It works fine at PCI@33MHz, it refuses to correctly intialize at PCI@20MHz, and requires a heatsink on the HiNT/PLX bridge chip at PCI@40MHz. On the UMC chipset, the PCI/FSB divider is software configured, but AFAIK on the SiS boards, it's hardware only. So make sure you don't run FSB40 with PCI at FSB/2, by jumpering the PCI/FSB division option to 1:1. On the UMC chipset, I had to patch the BIOS to not use 1:2 during POST at FSB40.
