I am curious about your setup of the motherboard and how you configured your system so that I know what seems to be the issue cause I have been having this odd issue where it would not boot past the bios splash but sometimes the energy star logo, etc would disappear but not boot. The floppy drive seeks and does so during posting but despite being able to detect cf card drive, it does not boot from it. Could it be the bios that is not working right or a certain bios setting not configured correctly?

My setup is an AM5x86 133Mhz with 16 megabytes of ram with a Cirrus Logic 5434 or Trident PCI 1 meg ram card with a sound blaster 16 sound card.

My board is the C1 revision with FPM ram.

What is the partition setup on the CF card?

This is also a classic symptom of a dying CF. I'd try to test it on another system or the opposite, temporarily try another card on this system.

I’ve tested it on my socket 7 pentium and that works

As far as I remember, both partitions are fat16 2 gigs with one drive for games and the second for the OS.

You should make a boot disk and partition the whole disk again using fdisk.

I am curious also what is everyone’s spec and setup for their board as well as jumper settings too.

I managed to get the Luckystar 486 setup and working properly. Just had to correctly configure the jumpers.
