I think the title is not very clear, I mean, of course it is possible to solder 4 other chips in place of the 64MB, the point is that I once did this in the past, and discovered that I would need to change the memory controller (or something like that) . The notebook in question is a Presario 1400 (closer construction to the Presario 1200), it has 64mb onboard, not that I mind that, it has a memory slot, however the onboard memory is not very good, and I will have to work on it coming soon, so I thought, hey, why not take advantage of the work and move to 128mb?
