I failed to find new (recently produced) PSUs that have this connector, so I have to make an adapter my own:

I was thinking to build one with a sata extension, like this. I have harvested the AT 6 pin connector from an old PSU.

Literally just splice the wires together with solder and heatshrink. Thoughts?

The motherboard I will use this on is a Dual Pentium 3 Asus CUV4X-DLS.

Thank you in advance!

Alternatively it's this.

I would do it the same way, just splice in the cables. Maybe I can do it at the connector but I am not sure if I can crimp the ATX Thingy's 20 Pins back.

The motherboard's manual is not clear as whether it will work correctly without the extra power.

Thanks!

I can't find a pinout of the second one, though.

But is it needed...maybe, maybe not - what's the full spec of the system including installed cards?

Also, see Dual Socket 370 AUX power connector

I was hoping to get 1.4 Tulatins on it eventually, so maybe I'll need more power?
I will use an ati 9100 or something like that on it, a sound card and probably a SCSI drive.
