I once briefly owned a Samsung 900NF when new (19" variant", I believe) , FWIW. I can't recall what the issue that made me exchange it for a ViewSonic P95F was (possibly convergence, not sure), but I do recall that the P95F was better on that point, though the Samsung might have been brighter. Going from memory, they both used Mitsubishi aperture grille CRTs.

I had two 1200NF on test. One back in 2006 and one more recently ~2017. Didn't like it. Hard to say why but the colors didn't seem right to me and adjustments didn't help. I liked Sony better.

Just now I have a 17" Samsung 757NF and Sony G220 on my desk and might do the comparison.
