Hello out there,
during the years I have collected a few 5.25 floppy drives. When one of them was rotten, I did not bother much, because they were cheap and it was easier to buy another one than to think about repairing the rotten one. But now times have changed. 5.25 floppy drives have become rare and dear so it worthwhile thinking about repairing the old ones I have and do do not work .
For my 2 Panasonic/Matsushita JU-455 360 KB-drives a found a fantastic video on youtube by Hi Bert! "Test & repair floppy drives with the SuperCard Pro! Cleaning, lubrication Pana. JU-455 JU-475 drives" and actually observing the step-by-step-diassembling,-cleaning,-lubrification-process brought them back to life again! Fantastic!

But now come other more complicated tasks!

TEAC FD-55GFR 1.2 MB
Dont know how to diassemble it! Did what I could do cleaning and lubrificating. But still the drive is dead. Seems that it is a problem of power suplly beacuase the molex connection is a bit loose (maybe some soldering point is broken?). Anyhow someone has eyxperience with these drives and can give me some hint? Ideal would be a video tutorial. How can I test the ower connections of the floppy drive?

Somehow maybe similar problems. Dont know what to do. The drive seems dead. There is not much information on the web. How to dis-assemble it? There is some expert in these drives? Dont want to break anything.

2X BASF 6128-C 360 KB
Worked as Drive A and B in a Commodore PC10 from 1985. In one of them (jumpered as drive A) I inserted unfortunately a bent floppy disk which I could not pull off afterwards. Only with much physical force I succeded afterwards to get rid of the floppy disk. Dont know how to dis-assemble the drive to clean the drive of eventual debris left. Maybe the drive has been damaged by the physical force to extract the faulty floppy. Any hints, tips to start? The second BASF 6128-C (jumpered as B) has some problem with the pressure mechansim when the floppy is inserted. Sometimes the white plastic wheel dos not spin.

Suggestions are welcome. Thanks a lot.
