Ive been trying for many hours to get the IDE on the CT3670 to work with a DVD drive, the SBIDE.SYS driver loads and I see the settings I set from CTCU but the VIDECDD.SYS driver wont load, Ive used CTCU to try other settings but it either doesnt work or it freezes at the CTCU /S of the last part it loads at post. Ive also changing the CTCU settings and manually changing them in config.sys,

In Config.sys is (basically) :

DEVICE=C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS /TESTMEM:OFF
DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMMK386.EXE RAM AUTO D=64
DOS=HIGH, UMB
DEVICE=C:\CTCM\CTCM.EXE
DEVICEHIGH=C:\SBIDE.SYS /D:OPTICAL /V /P:168,10,36e
DEVICEHIGH=C:\CDROM\VIDECDD.SYS /D:OPTICAL
LASTDRIVE=I
DEVICEHIGH=C:\DOS\SETVER.EXE
FILES=60
BUFFERS=40

In Autoexec.bat is:

SET SOUND=C:\SB16
SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 H5 P330 E620 T6
SET MIDI=SYNTH:1 MAP:E MODE:0
SET CTCM=C:\CTCM
C:\SB16\DIAGNOSE /S
C:\SB16\AWEUTIL /S
C:\SB16\MIXERSET /P /Q
C:\CTCM\CTCU /S
etc stuff
LH C:\CDROM\MSCDEX.EXE /D:OPTICAL /L:G /M:15 /V
etc stuff

Ive tried OAKCDROM.SYS with the same results im not sure what to do next the card is PNP it doesnt have a jumper for the IDE to work

config.sys:
device=himem.sys
device=sbide.sys /D:CD001 /P:1f0,14,3f6

autoexec.bat:
mscdex.exe /M:10 /D:CD001

No guarantees!

Thank you I would try those settings but guess what I'm now having trouble with so sound at all after trying the joystick port for midi with a SC55, well the good thing is the SC55 sound is ok but the QCM FM and emulation have completely gone I'm going to ask about this in a separate question

this card hasn't been used in about 8 years from me and I don't know before me so I was testing it so I could sell it and say "everything tested" - - all caps look ok and no AWE pins bent, all traces from ISA good and cleaned, ah dam even the 3.5mm port is ok and games see the card and the post sees the card so there is something else that I'm hoping is a general cap because it sure wasn't the card not being seated right I must of removed and put it back in 15 times and then removed and put in the LBA cards in a few times because the LBA ports were used to much in the past and I haven't found the rest of the blasted huntsmen spider that was still alive somewhere in the case but it was only a small one and the gooie parts of it was out so I didn't care to go hunting for the rest of his dismembered parts but at most for now I have a sounsblaster 32 with a suspect capacitor that im looking at because it has a slight angle to it and im hoping to identify if its a possible cause for audio loss
