Hi, I'm installing Windows 98 SE on my old Compaq Presario 5000 and every time I install the mouse and keyboard don't work.

I checked the bios and everything is fine and even in the old version of Win 98 it still runs normally. I don't know if there is a problem with the installation version or not?

1). Those came with windows millennium does that install work
2). Are you using the ps/2 ports
3). Does you keyboard and mouse work on other machines or do other keyboards and mice work on this machine
4). Do your ports work try usb mouse and keyboard (might fail as win98 is awkward with usb and keyboard and mouse versions)
5). Do they work while accessing bios
