This is my first time asking questions here and my first time attempting to use DOSbox, so I hope I'm coming to the right place for this. My game, Mean Streets is under the directory C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\Other Programs\Mean Streets. I can change the DOS directory heading from Z: to C:, but that's about as far as I can get. It won't recognize the existence of the Documents and Settings folder and I can't figure out why.

Also, when I run "dir" under any heading, it only shows me the last few files available alphabetically. Is there any way to scroll up?

Please help me out! I'm sure DOSbox will make me very happy just as soon as I'm able to use it!

okay....

1. Create a directory under C:\ called OLDGAMES
2. Place Mean Streets under OLDGAMES but rename it to MEANSTS
3. execute DosBox
4. Type in "Mount c c:\oldgames"
5. type in "CD MEANSTS"
6. Execute ms.exe (I think that's the name of the executable.

You see it's best to use 8.3 character filenames for DOS/DOSBOX because that's what DOS is designed around and it's easier to navigate through DosBox.

If you wish to view directories in DosBox that have lots of files type in 'DIR /w /p"
