So I Just picked this machine up cheap. It checks the ram and posts with the 601-Diskette controller error. Thats as far as it goes. It has one of those barrel battery’s that I snapped off because it was leaking as the always do, but looks to have caused some damage to some traces from leakage. So today I fired in the new battery and changed the set the jumper, but no luck. After checking the damage on the board from the leaking battery, It appears there are at least 2 maybe 3 traces that were badly damaged. 2 of the 3 of them look like they may go into or around the header for the floppy drive. Im thinking that’s where the trouble is. Could it be possible to jump the damaged areas some how by soldering a new wire? Maybe SOL
