This is usually the other way around (using laptop 44pin HDD on 40 pin motherboard), but does anyone have a recommendation on using a 40pin device (in this case, the Startech SATA to IDE adapter) connected to a 44pin interface? The biggest challenge is getting power to the device and I found this:

It has a small white power connector which I assume its pulling from the 44 pin power pins but not sure if that would be enough even if just connecting it to the Startech and then a 2.5" SATA SSD?
