I have a retro pc ready for Win98 and I want to play my games late 90s and I want buy a sound blaster card in particular for EAX. What do you think about Sound Blaster Live CT4830? I found that in my country for a good price.
For a lot of days I searched on internet info about this card, but I cannot understand the difference with all the sound blaster models. Can you help me to understand if CT4830 is ok or is better to take another sound blaster live model?

The CT 4830 is a perfectly fine sound card for Windows 98 from what I remember. It's got EAX 1.0 and 2.0 support, and is pretty good in DOS mode as long as the game supports General MIDI and you're running at least a Pentium II or faster. I used one very similar to it for seven years on my daily PC (1999 to 2006) until I replaced it with a X-Fi. So, go for it!

Thanks for the advice! I think I will buy that.
I have a Pentium and is more than enough for the sound board and for the games I want to play on this PC.
