Hi,

I am wondering if you guys notice system slow down / lag while using USB Keyboard + Mouse or USB KVM with your Pentium 4 setup? I am having terrible slow down/lag when I use USB keyboard with my Pentium 4 system. Slow down occurs on BIOS level, didnt notice much lag on OS level. Lags at post screen, BIOS screen and Win98 loading screen. When I use PS/2 keyboard and unplug any USB devices, it super fast passes post screen like eye blink and super fast on BIOS too. Cant find any solution for this issue. Maybe Pentium 4 systems are not good with USB devices?

my current setup is:

motherboard: ASrock P4i65G
cpu: Pentium 4 Northwood 2.4Ghz HT
ram: 2x256gb Elixir DDR400 (I use this for win98 - for XP I have 2GB RAM)
graphics: ATI Radeon 9250 - 256MB
sound card: SB Live 0220
OS: dual boot win98se + xp
