application failed to initialize properly

I am new to this site and I am new to DOSBOX but I am getting this message when I try to run DOSBOX.

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application"

How can I fix this problem?

Please read the guidelines for requesting help and provide additional information. Also, what version of DOSBox are you trying to run?
