I'm trying to find a generic/Toshiba/Intel driver for the Intel PRO/100 Ethernet controller on an old Toshiba Satellite Pro A100 laptop (model PSAAPE-OOPOOKEN Serial number 57830752G).
It also has a Qualcom Atheros AR242X wireless adaptor as well. For some strange reason, the XP installer did not detect these devices during installation. I have downloaded a .cab file from the Microsoft update catalogue site, but I'm not sure how to install it. I've tried searching for official Toshiba support but can't find anything useful. I've managed to get the video driver set up so that some progress I suppose.
XP has been upgraded to service pack 3, and I've also got FreeDOS 1.3 installed as well. Can anyone help me get an Ethernet driver installed? Thanks.
