Can't install Speed Racer

First of all, a big thank you to the DOSBox team, you guys are great, this is a wonderful piece of software... brought to me old memories 😀

Now straight to the point... I have a problem installing Speed Racer. The installer complains he can't find COMMAND.COM and won't let me install the game. I tried throwing in the original file from my italian MS-DOS 6.22 without any luck... he don't give me that error, but freezes instead.

I see Speed Racer as a fully supported game... so what should I do to install it?

DosBox doesn't support running Command.com.....unless you boot from an actual MS-DOS image in DosBox.

DosBox does have it's own command.com. I guess the game is checking for something that DosBox doesn't have.

If your using Windows as your host, can you install the game from there and then play the game under DosBox?

I recently added a command.com check that was used by 3drealms installers.
maybe it helps with this game as well..

Problem solved!

I think the game looks for that file in C:\ , so I've copied the DOSBox command.com from Z:\ to C:\ and it works fine 😁

I just didn't remember dosbox had his own command.com 😊
