This is just an update on that 5.25 flpppy drive. I realized that some debris on the read write head was actually damaging the game disk and making it unreadable. 😭 I cleaned the drive, which was insanely dusty and dirty. The drive works slightly faster now and windows 98 gives better feedback about formatting now. The one pc side is scratched irreparably and track 0 is bad so that side can't be formatted. The commodore side is not formattable either. The drive doesn't seem to be scratching the disk anymore and I have another game coming to test it with. If anyone has any pointers or advice about dirty disk drives, I'm open to it.
