Does anyone know if all i-force device can be adapted from serial (db9/rs232) to usb?
I'm about to grab a i-force racing wheel that's originally serial.
But I've seen some posts online about it having "usb" written on it's internal parts.
And I've seen that at least for some i-force devices, it's possible to directly wire a usb port to it's serial pins.
The device is a Leadership Speed Master Force Feedback racing wheel. I believe it's a clone of the American Anko AVB Force Feedback Racing Wheel.

There's this post here but I still can't find the serial to usb pinout

USB to RS232 cable just present themselves as a regular COM port on a PC. They are generally higher numbered which would cause issues if a game is hard coded to supporting only COM1 or COM2. You'd also be limited to just playing in Windows. But you'd have that same limitation if you were using it as USB.

The best way to check if you can do a USB conversion is to open it up and look at the board. The comments in there reference points on the PCB and soldering in a USB header/cable. Not that the USB pins are exposed to the serial port.
