SMB Share Access for DOS: MS client or MS LAN manager

Hi all,

I use currently ms client 3.0 to access smb shares. My smb hosts won’t provide ipx.

I wonder if there is any reason to go for ms lan manager for this requirement? I couldn’t find direct comparisons for both products. Any ideas? Speed? Memory usage?

Final version of LAN Manager is 2.2c, right?
I had some issues with that - AFAIR some file names appearing in lowercase instead of uppercase, which confused Norton Commander and/or Volkov Commander.

But no such problems with Microsoft Network Client 3.0.

Yes it is. I did notice the redirectors were slightly different between them
