I took an old LG Flatron 795FT Plus out of the basement after more than 10 years.
When I turned it on the "no signal" screen showed up, everything looked fine, so I connected it to the PC and saw the Windows 10 login screen. Success! But… after about 5 seconds the screen went black and all I can see now is the power LED blinking in a sequence (green, 4 times yellow, repeat). I can still turn it on and off, but all it does is turning the blinking LED on and off.

Yes, I tried to unplug the monitor and plug it in again. No, it's not the "resolution out of sync" kind of problem, I don't even see the "no signal" screen anymore, only black.

Any chance it may be brought back to life?

This seems like it may only be a capacitors related issue. Service manual has no mention of LED blink codes unfortunately so it isn't quite sure what it thinks is wrong with it...

I remember having a similar problem with a LG Flatron monitor once, the CRT filament would heat up, it had HV and everything inside looked fine but the image simply wouldn't display. All I did to fix it was a complete disassembly, cleaning and reassembly, most likely a bad connection somewhere caused it to fail like that.
