Installed a Hercules Dynamite 128/video card ,with the Tseng ET 6000 and 4mb memory,in a pentium 233mmx,intel tx,windows 95 build.

Card works fine , except in windows games, that have some kind of video at the start ,like the Blizzard logo in Warcraft BNE,or EA games "it's in the game" logo etc.

As soon as i run a game like this, screen goes black and monitor shows :no signal message, then goes to sleep.

I can't hear any game sounds and only way to get things working again,is to reset the pc.

What could be the problem?

something causing the video to lock up the OS. driver issue or directx issue ??
what driver version are you using ?
added: I vaquely remember reading that some version (5 or 6??) of DirectX did not have et6000 support and needed a patch from Tseng.
suggest you run Dxdiag and see what it says....

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun
