Hi!

Does anyone know if S3Trio64V+ was ever released with VBE2.0 BIOS flashed on chip? Almost all of the cards were sold in 1996 with VBE1.0, whereas VBE2.0 was released 1994. I have a few Trio64V+ cards and none of them is v2.0. I'll be very grateful for VBE2.0 BIOS dump or just an infromation which model has it. Best regards!

Hello, no S3 Trio64V+ was ever released with VBE 2.0 onboard.

The only one in the Trio64 family being able to have such capability in the VBIOS (which isn't common) is the Trio64V2/DX. One can be found in Gona's list around DOS compatibility with PCI and AGP cards: https://gona.mactar.hu/DOS_TESTS/. It is the one labeled "S3 reference BIOS (1997-May-20): S3 86C375/86C385 Video BIOS. Version 2.04.07".

If the aim is too play VBE 2.0 software, you'd have to use a TSR, like UniVBE. There's also one offered from S3 itself: http://www.vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=440

as per readme, S3VBE20/S3SPDUP aren't by S3 itself.
