Are there IDE BIOS extension as alternative for XTIDE BIOS extension
As i remember there was universal BIOS extension from Promise or Symphony? Or others?

Most only work with specific hardware, but here are a pair that did LBA28 and would run on most computers with ISA slots.

These guys do LBA 28 for drives up to 128GB.

I'll have to check it out.
One thing that's nice about XUB is that the MODULE_ADVANCED_ATA module has support for QDI Vision VLB IDE controllers with Promise 20230C support in testing.
It will be interesting to see how the PROMISE EIDE PRO ISA compares to XUB with a Promise 20230C card.
