Hi,
I was reading in a VIA C3 thread VIDEO BENCHMARKS (Original title: Settling the VIA C3 performance debate once and for all) that the ICS 9248DF-39 in my Neoware CA2 would be working with tools that set the FSB in software, and wanted to use that in combination with SETMUL to slow down my VIA C3 Ezra (6×133) to speeds like 3x50.
However, when these tools read my FSB, they get 75 instead, and when I set any other speed, the whole system instantly freezes until I hard power it off.
Now I read in the datasheet https://datasheet4u.com/datasheet-pdf/Integra … f.php?id=510767 that the clock generator has no 50 MHz setting to begin with, okay, but I tried some other settings like FSB 100 or even the 133 MHz it is supposedly working on anyway, and each time the system instantly froze .
Is there any way I can get this to work?
Or another way I can hit the performance points of a DX2-66 and such? SETMUL works great with multipliers 3-7 (any higher will also instafreeze, but the resulting 933 MHz of 7x133 are prime stable with great temps given an active cooler).
