4 days ago, I decided to go to a thrift store and I saw this Bondwell B310 laptop for $30. I decided, what the heck, I'll buy it and see if it works.
When I tested it initially, the display had weird lines and some of the text wasn't there and one side was a darker shade of blue as well (the display is contrast only, no backlight or forelight). When I inspected the laptop, I thought it was corrosion. Turned out two capacitors leaked (LongLife brand) and that was causing the major issues with the display. Then, the clock battery. Thankfully, the little 3.6V Lithium (the same 68K Macintoshes up to the G4 model used, even the Apple IIGS model) didn't leak and I decided to solder the 3V coin cell that was for a different model Dell Latitude laptop using the wiring from the battery itself and the connector from the 3.6V battery.
After replacing the clock battery and replacing a few capacitors, the display started to work correctly. All that was left is to boot from a floppy to see if that drive worked and mess with the hard drive parameter settings to see if I could boot from the hard drive (if it had an OS on it). I then wrote a DOS 3.3 boot diskette and added GSETUP to it so I can figure out which option it is for the hard drive (CHS parameters). The floppy drive indeed worked great, but the drive was a bit sluggish at times, but after setting the hard drive parameters, the OS loaded from the hard drive without issues that had DOS 3.3 and Windows 3.0 on it.
The next day, I recapped the rest of the system and wiped the hard drive so I could install a fresh copy of DOS 6.22 on the 43MiB (40MB) Conner CP-3044 AT HDD from the 1.44MB FDD. When I did the full recap and everything, the rubber that was supposed to be on one of the VRMs to prevent the FDD and one side from getting hot slipped off and let go and placed it back on, thankfully.
The display still has its moments that it acts a little weird, but I think it's the slider that's acting up or it could be a wire or bad connection that I missed, but I didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
Specs of the laptop:

It didn't come with a power brick, so I used my RCA switching power brick set to 9VDC positive center tip, which works, but it should be the OEM one.
The NiCd main battery was flat as expected for being corroded on the inside of the battery, which didn't do any damage to the system at all. My plans are to give the display an upgrade to an IPS display (if there is one), make a rechargeable battery (might get 6 C-cell batteries), and find a sound adapter that'll work with it.
