Hello!

I'm trying to repair my IBM PC365 (Socket 😎. My current configuration:

RAM: 16 GB (tested with another IBM PC365)
CPU: 200 MHz (66×3), tested

If I try to start this PC without RAM, I hear 1-3-1 beeps and see POST code 88. According to the documentation (http://ps-2.kev009.com/pccbbs/commercial_desk … op/s84h0334.pdf), the beep codes seem correct, but the POST code is not mentioned.
When I try to start this PC with an EDO RAM module installed, I see POST code 83 and hear one continuous beep. I tried starting the PC with the RAM in different slots, but the problem persists.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Desoldered a few capacitors and tested them with an ESR meter — they are fine.
- Checked the soldering of the legs for the 441FX and 442FX chips.
- Tried starting the PC with a tested PSU from another IBM PC365.

Do you have any ideas? Also, do you know what POST code 83 means?

Thank you!
