I bought this machine and noticed it has old bios, I probably don't need to upgrade the bios, but tried... and failed 😒
The problem is machine of course has dead battery, and IBM don't let you upgrade the bios with dead battery.
I've got windows 98 installed and machine doesn't have floppy drive, and I don't think it can boot from USB. So my means for upgrading are limited to windows.
I tried with winphlash but it didn't recognise the rom file.
Of course I could disassemble the machine and eject the rom and program it with my programmer... maybe... but I don't think I'll bother.
So is there easy workaround or should I just leave to be?
