I am currently trying to get Larry 7 to work on my Powerbook (Mac OS X). I use the frontend petitdosbox.
I manage to start the game after installing the Dos Version from my CD but the sound is just noise and the game runs totally choppy. Increasing cycles did not help.

Any suggestions?

try configuring larry 7 to use soundblaster pro. (and change dosbox to emulate that.)

SoundBlaster Pro is not an option in Larry7, only regular SB. But thanks!

videoDrv = VESA.DRV
soundDrv = MIDNONE.DRV
audioDrv = DACBLAST.DRV

in the RESOURCE.CFG works fine for me. Be sure that the path to your CD in your RESOURCE.CFG match what DOSBox sees.
