Hello everyone,
Has anyone tried using the 10.4-inch SHARP LQ104V1LG92 or Innolux G104V1-T03 displays for classic DOS gaming? They’re currently available on eBay and AliExpress, and I’m considering them as potential CRT replacements (for example: https://www.ebay.de/itm/186170135814 or https://www.ebay.de/itm/186336609454).
Key Specifications:
SHARP LQ104V1LG92
Panel Size: 10.4 inch
Panel Type: a-Si TFT-LCD (LCD Module)
Resolution: 640(RGB) × 480 (VGA)
Display Mode: TN, Normally White, Transmissive
Backlight: CCFL
Innolux G104V1-T03
Panel Size: 10.4 inch (76 PPI)
Panel Type: TN, Normally White, Transmissive
Resolution: 640(RGB) × 480 (VGA)
Brightness: 500 cd/m² (Typ.)
Contrast Ratio: 1500:1 (Typ.)
Viewing Angle (CR ≥ 10): 88°/88°/88°/88° (L/R/U/D)

I’m particularly interested in how these panels handle classic DOS resolutions (320×200, 640×480), especially regarding refresh rates, scaling behavior, color reproduction, and any noticeable latency compared to CRTs.
If you’ve used either of these displays for DOS-era gaming—or have any insights on their performance—please share your experience. Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I make a purchase.
Thanks in advance!
Best regards
