-I'm having a problem running these games. I can start them up and run them but playing them is either at the expense of sound or speed.

-What happens is when I'm starting up the sound is choppy. I fix that by changing frame skip to 3. Then the problem is speed. If I try to play without altering CPU cycles it's laggy and very unplayable. If I speed the game up I can get it to run satisfactory but the sound is then again choppy. I've tried to counter this by frame skipping a bit more but if I set frame skip to 4 or above the game locks itself up and crashes. So to run the game I have to up speed but that makes the sound act crazy and I can't up the frame skip either as it causes the game to crash. Any ideas?
