I recently picked up a Dell dimension v350 which has what I believe to be an intel AR440BX motherboard. I have scoured the web trying to find a BIOS update file for it, and have hit a dead end. If someone could point me in the right direction or provide a file I would greatly appreciate it. Currently it has BIOS revision A05, and from what I gather the last version was A08.

If you're not 100% sure of the motherboard identification, post a good pic here. Bad idea to go flashing BIOS on a belief, particularly with Intel OEM boards with soldered EEPROMs...

Hmm, I have one of these that I need to test out.

Try here, looks like A08 and A07 are both present: https://web.archive.org/web/20170606115347/ht … imension-v.html

And it's still actually on their site, but all the metadata for what the bios update actually does seems to have been lost over time: https://www.dell.com/support/product-details/ … nsion-v/drivers

It's a pretty distinctive motherboard, regular ATX with no AGP slot, ATI Rage Pro Turbo AGP video chip and (apparently optional but it's on mine) Yamaha YMF724 sound chip 😀

Thanks for the link Thermalwrong, and thanks for reporting that the BIOS works Mirror250. I'm currently resurrecting one of these systems that has issues!
