I have a 386DX system running with a Ti486DLC-40 CPU. Is the Ti486SXL-40/PGA-132 (386DX socket) a direct replacement? As in, could I just install the SXL-40 and take advantage of the 8KB of L1 cache?
I ask because I know the SXL with the 486 socket (PGA-168) isn't compatible, hence the years-long thread about making an interposer that works. 😀
Thanks!
