Hi All

just got an Ericsson Step/one computer complete with color screen, keyboard and floppy drive. the only thing missing was a monitor cable but i managed to solve that temporarily. with the help of some documentation on this site https://nivelleringslikaren.eu/stepone/
i have downloaded a couple of bootable images for the same site but what i can't do is create a working bootable floppy...
i have transferred the .imd files to my 5170 and tried to write them to floppy disks but all i get is "Bad disk unusable change disk & strike any key when ready"
i have tried with Imagedisk 1.19 with verious settings and with both a 1.2mb drive and a 360kb drive but with no luck, i have tryed to connect the Ericsson Step/one floppy(Matsushita JA-561-2N) drive directly to the floppycontroller in my5170 but i only get 601 error...
i really want to get a bootable floppy working

It looks like they used 80 track double density, like a PC 3 1/2" - thought the drive appears to be a 1.2MB capable, now I remember doing 720-800k on 5 1/4" DD floppy on an old PC, in conjunction with the NFORMAT or FDFORMAT disk formatters (both of which could do sector skew for improved performance), trying to remember if that needed a driver or command to override the defaults when using them
