Does anyone know the values for C52/C53 SMD capacitors on a Voodoo 3 3000 AGP? I have a faulty card that is displaying garbled outlook and C53 looks pretty sus, almost scorched, so I thought it may be worth replacing that before I start replacing the RAM.

From what I can tell from pictures C52 is a 10uF 16v tantalum.
C53 going by this schematic "h3_pci_51_01.pdf", the 1206 mlcc capacitors are 16v 2.2uF. The schematic is for a pre-release Voodoo 3 PCI card so the capacitor numbers don't match up at all but the components should match up.

If that doesn't help, please have a go with this 😀 Re: Accurately troubleshooting video memory faults with VMTCE

Although I never updated that thread for some reason, the repair was eventually successful! Re: What retro activity did you get up to today?

C52 10u
C53 2,2u...3,9u
But it is unlikely that the artifacts are related to their absence.

Almost 90% of times of Voodoo artefacting on Banshee and 3 I've seen were usually pointing to RAM issues. The rest were either SMDs or the main BGA itself.
