Hello,
I have 2 asus eee pc, I like their tiny size, and I have a retrowave opl3 express (usb OPL3). Before trying all this and consuming a lot of time, do you think it will work correctly ?
At first I tried to use dosbox-x on a linux system (antix linux) on one of these eee pc but the playing is not accurate, there is lowering and it’s essentially for adlibtracker2 so playing must be good. I tried different settings in dosbox-x to free the more possible ram but it’s still not accurate and lowerings…
Sadly, on these 2 eee pc, the ram is soldered on the motherboard and it’s not possible to add more. It’s 1go on both. I can probably add an ssd instead of the hdd but I’m not sure it will be enough…
So, installing MS-DOS directly cames in my mind, do you think it’s worth it and what about the retrowave opl3 DOS driver ? Does somebody tried it on an asus eee pc ? One of the 2 eee pc I have is a R051CX
