I received an ECS KV2 Extreme motherboard with Athlon 64 X2 4400+ ADA4400DAA6CD 2.2 GHZ. Now I'm working on it and I'm running into a few issues. I can't turn off the splash screen. I would like to see the post instead of a splash screen from the motherboard. The last problem I'm running into is that I can't disable the SIS SATA/IDE controller, which costs a lot of extra boot time. Does anyone know how I can fix this on this motherboard? I have the latest BIOS installed.

If the manual (from manualslib.com) is correct about the bios: Only can change to large screen or small screen logo at boot, and appears there is no way to turn off SIS sata.
Not sure about the dual channel issue but the manual does not list 1Gb dimms, just 128M, 256M and 512M....at the time it was written...
