Hi all

I got a new hdd WD800 (80GB) unfortunately my pc cant discover it - bios is thinking for a while and finds nothing

Apparently there was a fix in Bios version 1011 to address issue with disks bigger than 32GB

Initially I started with Bios 1008, after finding this info I flashed it to 1012 but no luck, flashed it to 1014.003 - same

Tried different cables (40 and 80 wire) making disk only one on the ribbon, master/slave - nothing

Motherboard is Asus p2b rev 1.10, currently with bios 1014.003, other 2 disks i have there (20GB and 10GB) are discovered with no issues

Diak gets successfully discover on my other pc with Tyan S1854 MB (Apollo Pro 133a)

Appreciate any hints on that!

EDIT: Found the culprit - jumper set to "master" messes everything up, even of the device is the only device connected...
