Hi everyone!
I know, it's quite common to get a short freeze when entering the hardware monitor in the AMI BIOS of Asus Mainboards. But in my case (P5Q Pro and P5QD Turbo) it happens when I try to select or change any item - in fact every time I press a button on the HW monitor page.
CPUs tested are a Q9550, Q6600 (with BSEL-mod applied) and a Xeon E5450. Graphics card is an Asus Radeon HD7870.
I have the latest version BIOS on each board. Temps are fine. Power delivery from the PSU (be quiet! Straight Power E7CM 480 Watt) is stable. I have all 4 RAM slots populated with 2 GB each (all G.Skill DDR2-800). It happens with 2 modules as well. All Voltages and timings are "auto". I have disabled the floppy, onboard PATA, ieee1394 and serial-port.
There are 2 SATA HDD, 1 SATA SSD and a SATA DVD-Burner connected to the board. 4 120 mm fans are connected for ventilation.
Does anyone know, what can be done against this? It is minor, but it's really bugging me... I have a feeling this might be a symptom of other less obvious problems with my boards...
Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance! 😁
