I'm not sure where to post this question, so my apologies. In particular it's a Windows 10 question, so double apologies.

I have a G-Raid network drive attached to my router. I divided it into 3 partitions (V: W: and X:) for storage and to provide access for all my old machines. I use it for my Win2k, XP and Win 98 machines and access to all 3 partitions from these systems is no problem. My issue is gaining access from my everyday Windows 10 laptop onto the 'V:' partition only. The other 2 partitions are fine. On V: I'm blocked from adding new files or making new folders with the message "You need permission to perform this action" . I can copy from but not to this partition when it is hooked up to the router. This partition also works fine when the G-Raid is connected directly to my laptop via USB, so I think the problem lies in how my PC is addressing it over the network

I have followed some instructional YouTube videos that address this problem and I have gone into the properties for this partition and tried to assign full permissions but the check boxes just clear again when I press Apply. I am also unable to change the owner. For some reason I am unable to alter the permissions on this partition yet access to the other two partitions work just fine when this drive is hooked up to the router.

This problem appeared at random and I'm not quite sure what I've done to corrupt access over the network. If anyone has any suggestions for a Windows 10 fix this will be much appreciated.
