Hello everyone,
I recently bought a CD-ROM and discovered a relatively unknown MS-DOS shoot 'em up game from 1996 called "Final Guard".
It was developed by a small team called Frankenstein Studio from Hong Kong.
Unfortunately, the game uses copy protection that requires a manual, which wasn’t included with the CD.
After doing some research, I managed to track down the original programmer of the game.
Sadly, he wasn’t able to help me either — he no longer has the source code for the DOS version, and he doesn’t have the manual anymore either.
He did release the game for free on Android and iOS some time ago, but I’d really love to get the original DOS version running properly.
Are there still people around who are familiar with bypassing this kind of copy protection?
Best regards,
