Hi!
A few months ago, I wrote an extensive article on my blog about the Mac Mini G4 and its ability to run games from a long time-span: https://www.xtof.info/MacMiniG4-the-best-clas … etrogaming.html

I would like to complete it by comparing the performance of the machine with PCs and Mac from around 1998 to 2004. The expected result being that it would be competitive against oldest expensive units and trashed by the newest one, being a budget computer from 2004. I am also interested by seeing how different generations of Pentium 3s fare against their G3 and G4 contemporaries. I did not find a lot of interesting benchmarks in that regard.

Therefore I would like to know if there are some voluntaries to run Geekbench 2.2.0 on their machine and post the results here. It is one of the only benchmark that can run on both environment and provide comparable results. I know that Geekbench was a very cache friendly synthetic benchmark at the time, but it still better than nothing.

You can download the installer for Windows XP from the Wayback machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20120505111638/ht … indowsSetup.exe
And the Mac OS X version is here: https://www.macintoshrepository.org/43590-geekbench-2-2-0

I attach the results from my Mac Mini G4.

Thanks, I was not aware of this collection of results.
But unfortunately, unless I am missing something, there is no way to filter the results to the machines of interest. Furthermore, only the 3000 most recent benchmark are available, dating back to 2024.
So I fear it is unusable for my purpose.
