HI all,

I'm sure I'm being thick, but after repairing a Voodoo2 (3 Legs snapped off one of the TMU chips, and a destroyed trace, allegedly done by a "professional" repair person-jeez, what a mess), I wanted to try the some tests (Mojo etc) from the 3dfx SDK 243 (as I saw in a video by creator "vswitchzero - troubleshooting and repairing a 3dfx Voodoo2")

I can't see for the life of me how to install it. I've spent hours googling, and you tubing to find an answer, but can't find a thing. Any help of a link to a run through would be great.

Thanks in advance

Cheers, Mark

It's best to use mojo.exe in pure DOS.
It allows you to determine whether the card is working properly.
You can output the information to a file for further analysis, but don't expect any miracles.

Yes, I'm looking to do all tests in DOS, but just struggling a bit to get the menu screen I see on the YouTube vid

cheers for the reply

Edit:

Just ran it through dos command line, and mojo.exe just causes the screen to go blank and monitor goes into no signal mode. Only way out is ctrl+alt+del

I have voodoo3 in at present to test 3dfx sdk, as I need to make sure I know what to expect from a good card. I don't yet know the condition of my V2. I seem to get an output if I use MOJO -v, but it doesn't make alot of sense. Do i need to use a switch after the command?

Cheers

Well it seems to work with the Voodoo2 in, sadly, there seems to be more of an issue with it. it's reporting 0MB FBI memory, and 57005 TMU's. Hmm, that doesn't strike me as good 🙁

Maybe MOJO just works with PCI cards, my V3 is AGP?

I'll have to check over my V2 card, to see if I can find the issue.

Mojo works only with Voodoo1 and Voodoo2. Launching Mojo with Voodoo3 or Banshee causes the computer to freeze.
I would not recommend mixing different generations of Voodoo on one motherboard.

Ah, that will be it then. I didn't know MOJO was only for V1 or V2. I'm not mixing voodoo generations on my motherboard, that would be an odd thing to do! I am swapping the boards out before retesting.
Good info about MOJO only V1 or V2, thanks.
