Thank god you were unable to delete this post as i am having the exact same problem and would'nt have found this post if you had deleted it. 😅

I would appreciate it if some one can tell me, how can I solve the same problem without using VMDS so that I can try it on my old rig, on which by the way my brother and mom both had finished TR1 with full sounds back in the days when both my PC and TR1 were new.

I am also having trouble running it on Win Xp as the game hangs 9 out of 10 times when loading. any suggestion?

Sorry, I've lost track of things. What was the problem?

General advice. If TR crashes, try configuring it with no sound to see if that's where the problem lies. With XP, use VDMS; its brilliant. If you get problems with it, then it is likely to be a problem with your system.
