Hello all, hopefully someone has some experience with these machines, I haven't found much on the internet except few reviews from back in the day.

Recently I got two Compaq TC1000 tablets and both have same issue with their styluses, they work but they register click as soon as they get detected by the screen. It's basically impossible to do anything because as soon as you get near the screen it acts like you're trying to select desktop area.
Stylus have only one button, and that acts like right mouse button, but since left is always "clicked" it doesn't help much.

Does anyone has in idea what could be wrong? Or if there are compatible styluses that can be bought? I only found one seller on aliexpress that has these, for TC1000 and for TC1100, but the problem is that it seems description is reversed. It says TC1100 is "battery style" and it's the opposite. TC1000 stylus needs battery, while TC1100 doesn't need battery so it's kinda mixed bag what would arrive 😅.

Another thing is, does someone has any experience with opening the battery of this style? They're dead of course. Both don't hold any charge, so I'd like to open them and see what kind of cells they use to replace if possible. I'm not sure if shell plastic is held by clips or if they're welded together.
